WHO WE ARE

BELOVED Compassion Network (BCN) is an educational nonprofit dedicated to teaching individuals and organizations to cultivate compassion and to take compassionate action in the world.  BCN uses a proven meditative/experiential program called the “Compassion Practice” to cultivate compassion for self and others and to discern appropriate compassionate action.  Brian D. McLaren wrote of the Compassion Practice, “Everybody believes in compassion, but nobody tells you how to practice it.  Until now!” In addition, BCN uses the principles of the compassion practice to engage personal and social issues such as forgiveness, grief, overcoming the stigma of mental illness, and dismantling systemic racism.
